Andy Paddock Senior
Building Surveyor
He left
the UK after completing his Building Surveying degree at the University of
Greenwich to work in the dynamic and fast moving property and construction
sector in Hong Kong prior to the handover of the Territory in 1997, before
finally leaving to move to Singapore in 2001. Whilst
in Hong Kong Andy worked for Hyder Consulting mainly in their Civil &
Structural Division as a Project Management Assistant where he gained
experience of large-scale civil projects and was an integral part of the ISO
9000 Quality Management System Implementation Team. After
leaving Hyder Andy moved to Vigers (Hong Kong) Ltd, which is a regional
multi-disciplined property and real estate consulting company based in Hong
Kong. His first instruction with
Vigers was based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia undertaking Pre-construction
Condition Surveys for the 30km (5 km underground) PUTRA metro line. During
the remainder of his tenure with Vigers, Andy was involved in a wide and
diverse spectrum of projects including traditional Building Surveying instructions,
interior fit out project management, Strategic Maintenance Management studies
and the implementation and use of bespoke Survey Management and large scale
data collection software. Andy was
then seconded to Singapore in early 2001 to assist with the change in
management structure of the Vigers Singapore offices, during which time he
was responsible for its Building Surveying activities. After
leaving Vigers he joined a Singapore based interior contracting company,
gaining further experience in Commercial fit out works. Andy has
now been with Bruce James Building Surveyors Pte Ltd since late 2004 and is
currently involved in all aspects of works undertaken by the company. Andy has
also recently completed (December 2005) a course of study to obtain a MBA in
Construction & Real Estate and Post Graduate Diploma in Project
Management. |
